o7ai

Tools forged while making real games.

o7ai is an evolving development platform and toolset being built from the workflows behind RetroGamesX projects.

It did not begin as a pitch for another generic AI product. It began with a practical question: how much of the repetitive work involved in building, porting, testing, documenting, and preparing a game release can be made easier without giving up control of the result?

What it is being built to help with

  • AI-assisted coding and debugging
  • repeatable build workflows
  • asset and video conversion
  • legacy-console porting assistance
  • validation and build checks
  • release documentation
  • physical-media preparation
  • packaging and production workflows
  • reusable prompts, scripts, and project templates

PIRATES as a proving ground

PIRATES is one of the projects shaping o7ai. Instead of designing features in the abstract, the tools are being pulled out of work that actually has to function: preparing video, writing code, rebuilding, testing, fixing failures, organizing assets, and getting a physical release ready.

The important part is repeatability. AI can help create or repair pieces of a workflow, but a game release still needs deterministic builds, reviewed code, known assets, and testing on the hardware it is supposed to run on.

Where this may go

The long-term goal is to make some of these workflows usable by other independent developers and small publishers: people who have a game, an unusual idea, or a nearly finished project but do not necessarily have a release engineering team behind them.

o7ai is still being developed. It is not being presented here as a finished SaaS product, and there is no artificial launch countdown. The tools will become public when the useful parts are ready to be used by someone other than the person who built them.
